My textile practice developed from an early passion for sewing. It is now an expression of who I am and I have been practising and refining it for over forty years. After satisfying the demands of a career in fashion as a practitioner and teacher, I studied in the textiles workshop at the Australian National University.
I aim to develop work that demonstrates the emotion generated in me by a story or an experience. Favoured materials include inks and thread. Using intuitive lines in preference to precision, I embrace and highlight the accidental in my work.
